The STISD High School Selection process for current STISD 8th-graders and In-District Transfer process for current STISD 6th-,7th- and 9th-graders wanting to transfer to another campus within STISD for the 2024-2025 school year are now open via Skyward. The deadline to complete these processes is 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1.

In this quarterly newsletter, students and parents will find important information regarding FAFSA, Scholarships, Dual Credit, Testing, CTE Programs of Study and mandatory deadlines.
Next week, STISD will hold the first of three sessions in its South Texas ISD Dyslexia Series.
This series will include one in-person meeting and two virtual sessions, all focused on Supporting Student Success.
The sessions are open to parents from within our district community and others outside of STISD who could benefit from the information.

Members of the STISD community and the general public are invited to attend the Tour STISD Fall Campus Showcases to be held at all STISD schools this month and next.
These events kick off on Oct. 21 with three campuses, with events for the remaining campuses to be held on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4.

STISD is excited to announce it’s working alongside The Center for Model Schools this fall to complete its Strategic Plan for 2024-2029. To ensure all groups have a voice in the development of the plan, we've developed a Community Survey. Please take a few minutes to share your feedback with us by 5 pm on Friday, Oct. 13.

Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 10, for an STISD Parent Connection presentation entitled “Child Find: What Every Parent Needs to Know.”
Dr. Brenda de la Garza, STISD Special Programs Director, will present on “Child Find” and the district’s Special Education Program and services for students with disabilities. Two sessions will be held virtually through Zoom – one in English from 12:00-12:30 p.m., and the other in Spanish from 12:45-1:15 p.m.
