The STISD High School Selection process for current STISD 8th-graders and In-District Transfer process for current STISD 6th-,7th- and 9th-graders wanting to transfer to another campus within STISD for the 2024-2025 school year are now open via Skyward. The deadline to complete these processes is 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1.

U.S. News & World Report recently published its 2024 Best Middle Schools Rankings, which include both South Texas Independent School District (STISD) middle schools among the top-ranked schools in the state.

In this quarterly newsletter, students and parents will find important information regarding FAFSA, Scholarships, Dual Credit, Testing, CTE Programs of Study and mandatory deadlines.

Next week, STISD will hold the first of three sessions in its South Texas ISD Dyslexia Series.

This series will include one in-person meeting and two virtual sessions, all focused on Supporting Student Success. 

The sessions are open to parents from within our district community and others outside of STISD who could benefit from the information.

STISD will host its Second Annual Family Literacy Conference on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the STISD Central Office Teaching & Learning Center/Administration Building.

Topics to be discussed are: STISD Career & Technical Education Programs, Special Education - Transition to College for Students with Disabilities, Mental Health: Communication, and College and Career Readiness (CCMR).

Members of the STISD community and the general public are invited to attend the Tour STISD Fall Campus Showcases to be held at all STISD schools this month and next.

These events kick off on Oct. 21 with three campuses, with events for the remaining campuses to be held on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4.
