About

South Texas ISD World Scholars serves high school students who live along the southernmost tip of Texas, the region known as the Rio Grande Valley. Because it is part of a public school district, there is no cost for students to attend, and bus transportation is also free of charge. Best of all, World Scholars maintains an open enrollment policy, meaning any student with the desire to learn and work hard can attend so long as he or she resides within the tri-county area.

World Scholars is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme campus, with over 50 courses to choose from. Students are not only eligible to graduate with an international diploma, but also eligible for free college/university credit opportunities + an associates degree.

Admissions + Academics

South Texas ISD collaborates with South Texas College and The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, our Higher Education partners, to offer college credit hours, college certificates and degrees, while saving families hundreds of thousands of dollars by waiving tuition and fees.
