Semester 2 Exam Schedules and Early Release Information
Next week marks the final week of the 2025–2026 school year. Semester 2 exams will take place Monday, May 18, through Thursday, May 21.
Please note that students absent during exams May 18–21 will make up missed exams the morning of Friday, May 22.
Additionally, the district will have an early release on Friday, May 22, with all students dismissed at 1:30 p.m.

Honoring a Legacy of Leadership: STISD Superintendent Dr. Marco Antonio Lara, Jr. to retire at end of the month
After eight years leading South Texas Independent School District (STISD) and a career spanning over 30 years in education, Superintendent Dr. Marco Antonio Lara, Jr. has announced his retirement, effective May 31.

Now Registering: Take the Stage This Summer with Rock of Ages: Youth Edition
Registration is now open for the STISD Summer Fine Arts Academy's production of Rock of Ages: Youth Edition, hitting the stage this August!
We’re looking for talented students interested in singing, acting, dancing, and art. Rising 7th through 12th-grade students currently enrolled with STISD are eligible to register.
